Anytime you send dispute letters to the credit bureaus it is important that you send them Certified Mail with Return Receipt.
Create a paper trail and keep records of what, where, and when you send letters. It is not necessary to sign the letters you send to the credit bureaus. Include with the letter a copy of your drivers license, social security card, and a recent utility bill verifying your mailing address. Let’s prepare and send our first letter to the credit bureaus! Please note: By law, the credit bureaus have 30 days to respond to disputes. You are likely to start receiving correspondences in the mail within 3-4 weeks from the time you send dispute letters.
